You know, the ones pitching “low cost” mortgage protection insurance…
...should really be labeled… the Steepest, Skyhigh, worth a ‘King’s Ransom’, Overpriced, mortgage protection” around.
Easy for me to say, right? Afterall, I’m their competition.
Well, yes. It’s very easy for me to say because years ago… I bought mortgage protection from one of those companies.
In fact, I worked for one… (One of the many whose mail piece is probably sitting on your kitchen table right now.)
It wasn't until I left that company...
...that I realized what an overpriced product I was selling! And to think I was sold on the fallacy that it was the best product around! (Shaking my head as I write this.)
See, the company that ‘saved’ me from the drudgery of being oblivious to the overages I was passing on to clients… REQUIRED me to have an analysis of my current mortgage protection policy.
As much as I fought having the analysis (because I thought I knew everything there was to know about mortgage protection)...
...What I found still surprises me to this day! I was overpaying, yes… but get this…
… I was overpaying for 54% less coverage!
Listen, If you are a homeowner (new or not) in the greater CITY area… stand over your kitchen trash can.... And rip up those mortgage protection solicitations.
